I just realized I haven't updated my journal since 2010. >.>

Had a lot of fun at Blizzcon 2011. We had some guildies stay with us and let me say it was a fantastic week! I got to see friends I don't often see, and I even made some new friends! Totally unforgettable. Deathwing took home third place in the contest as well. I posted a papermache/paperclay/pepakura tutorial in my gallery if anyone is interested.

ALA 2012 was a blast too. Hung out with my friends , , and .

Thanks, everyone! I am really flattered from the DD and all your nice comments.  There have been a lot of similar questions about my work, so I thought a journal post would be appropriate.

I am not attending BlizzCon this year as most of my time and funds were spent on the purchase of my new house. I am finally getting settled so I will be planning a costume for next year's BlizzCon, as it's my favorite convention to attend.

I am not taking commissions as I am very new to leatherworking, and I feel I need to improve my skill and speed at which I work if I were to make pieces for customers. Leatherworking is my hobby between school and work as a means to keep me sane.  However, I do hope one day I will be able to make some money on the side from commissions.

Blizzcon was awesome this year! I met so many more amazing people, many who gave me great advise and tips. People are so creative with their costumes so I just love getting together and sharing methods.  Look for some posts this coming week showing the process of my costume. I hope someone can gain something from it.

Costumes aside, the new expansion announcement left me really excited! I mean, c'mon-WORGEN! How awesome is that?  After the contest I got changed then the husband and I went to try out WoW: Cataclysm.  We were running around as Worgen turning in quests when THIS  popped up on his screen.

Holy crap! A video card? We were gonna buy one anyway (they had discounts at the con), but to get it for free was awesome. Thank you random number generator!

Failed at getting tickets this first batch.  I hope the 30th brings me better luck.  I will still be working full swing on my costume.  It still depresses me though.

I am working on a Priest T7.5 costume for Blizzcon this year.  I know it won't win anything because it won't be unique, but the set is so pretty that I just have to make it. I already have most of the fabric which I found in various stores around Seattle.  I hope all of it fits in my suitcase though o.O I wanted to do another robe to help with my sewing skills. The last one was fine, but when I look back there are so many things I could have done to make it better.  What better way to practice than make something you are really excited about!

If I have time I am going to make a costume for my fiance. We'll see.
